Roll over MTV. As one of the channel’s founding producers, Lappé wore many hats at the upstart music network, from producing his own show, to going backstage with the biggest names in rock, to working closely with the channel’s creative director to help create an original look and feel for the channel’s ID and show promos. His show, Soundtrack to Your Life, told young viewers’ personal stories through the music they listened to.
